![]() ![]() ![]() The "good ending" is just another chapter leading to the inevitable. On a personal level, I'm at a point in my life where I really value family and I've always wanted a daughter, so perhaps this hit me differently than for other people because if I found out I had a daughter, I'd keep the loop just to see her smile at me and awkwardly call me dad. I don't know how else I would have preferred it ending, maybe Julianna actually killing Colt? Maybe playing Julianna in this sequence and allowing the player to decide where to kill Colt or not? I'm not sure. I also think the bad ending ends so abruptly it was kind of jarring. It just seems weird to me that the whole game is building towards the bad ending. This is considered the "good ending", while breaking the loop is the "bad ending". Seeing her at the top of that rock waiting for me after maintaining the loop and the awkward banter between a newly somewhat repaired relationship was just so sweet. Perhaps it was for the best and it was what the whole game was building towards, but I think things changed for me when I found out she was Colt's daughter. The look of utter disappointment on Julianna's face after breaking the loop and her walking off probably never to be seen again was heartbreaking to me. The third time, we didn't kill each other, and we continue in the loop together.Īnyway, so apart from the first run where I just looped back in basically a waste of time, I very much preferred the no-kill, live together and keep the loop alive ending. The second time, I killed Julianna and myself, breaking the loop. This is apparently a secret "ending" (if you can call it an ending) that I happened to stumble upon because I was a little trigger-happy. The first time, I killed Julianna early and sat in the chair just looping back and starting over. So I just finished the game three times over, each with a different ending.
